Yes! Here are two things we suggest you do:
- Check what type of electricity tariff you have with your energy retailer. Our optimisation software relies on you being on a Time Of Use electricity retail plan to do its thing, not a flat rate plan. See our FAQs on 'Energy Basics' for more information about tariff types and what they mean.
- If you find that you are exporting solar energy to the grid once your battery is fully charged, this is a great time to turn on your washing machine, dryer etc to soak up that excess energy within the home, rather than sell it back to your energy retailer.
